Quirkiest Cities and the American Folk Festival

Travel+Leisure magazine readers named Portland, Maine as one of, “America’s Quirkiest Cities.” Criteria included: thrift shops, craft beers and, of course, quirky locals.

The Huffington Post named the American Folk Festival in Bangor, Maine in the list of, “America’s 14 Best Small-Town Festivals.” Each year, the 3-day festival draws over 90,000 people to the Bangor Waterfront. In addition, there are musical acts from various regions of the world.

Best Places to Live in Maine

Portland, MaineRecently, Down East Magazine compiled a list of the “Best Places to Live in Maine.”

Though not comprehensive, still a very good introduction to the many incredible areas in Maine to live (or, visit)!

The list included:
