Champion the Cure Challenge is one of Maine’s most impactful community fundraising efforts, supporting cancer care and research through Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. Since 2010, it has brought together thousands of participants each year with a shared goal of honoring loved ones, standing with those in treatment, celebrating survivors, and remembering those who have been lost.
What makes this initiative especially meaningful is that every dollar raised stays in the local community, helping strengthen cancer diagnosis, treatment, and patient support services where it matters most. To date, the challenge has raised more than $8.7 million, funding advanced medical equipment, improved treatment options, and essential care resources for patients and families across the region.
